At least 20 South Korean troops were wounded in an explosion that occurred on Tuesday in a training camp for reserve forces in North Gyeongsang province, media reports said.
The explosion occurred at 11.47 a.m. (local time) in a training centre for reserve forces in Ulsan city, injuring about 20 troops, Xinhua news agency said.
All of the injured were active-duty soldiers as there was no training exercise for reservists when the explosion took place.
The injured soldiers, who suffered from burns, lacerations, fractures and eardrum rupture, were taken to nearby hospitals.
The reason for the explosion has yet to be identified.
