SAFF U-16: India top group, march into semis

The Indian U-16 football team qualified for the semi-final of the SAFF U-16 Championship by beating Bangladesh 2-0 and in the process finishing at top of Group B at the Army Ground here Thursday.

India, being represented by AIFF Regional Academy's U-15 boys, will be play Afghanistan in the semi-final Sunday.

Strikers Bedashwor Singh (42nd minute) and Krishna Pandit (90+1) scored in each half to script another impressive win for the Indian team.
