Electronics giant Samsung on Thursday expanded its range of Galaxy smartphones by launching two new 4G phones - J5 and J7 - in India.
Samsung said it has tied up with Flipkart to offer the phones exclusively on the online platform. Both the phones can be pre-booked between July 16 and July 22.
The Galaxy J5, which comes with a 5-inch HD Super Amoled screen, is priced at Rs.11,999, while the Galaxy J7, which has a 5.5-inch screen of the same variant, is priced at Rs.14,999.
Samsung has partnered with Gameloft, a leading publisher of mobile games, to provide an exclusive offer on the purchase of these phones.
"Users of the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will get free in-game credits of up to Rs.3,200 for prominent titles like Asphalt 8 and Modern Combat 5 among others. With 4G network capabilities, gamers will also be able to enjoy a better multi-player experience on their smartphones," the company said in a statement.
Both the phones are powered with 64-bit Quad-Core and Octa-Core processors and come with 1.5GB of RAM alongwith 13 MP auto-focus primary camera and 5 MP front camera.
"With consumers embracing the 4G revolution, we are looking at expanding our product offerings," said Asim Warsi, Samsung's vice president of marketing, IT and mobile.
