San Lorenzo won their fourth consecutive match by defeating Boca Juniors in the 14th matchday of Argentina's Transicion football tournament.
Uruguayan Martin Cauteruccio and Argentine Gonzalo Veron scored the two goals in the 51st and 56th minutes that gave San Lorenzo the victory, in the match played in 'Nuevo Gasometro' stadium here Sunday, reports Xinhua.
With this result, San Lorenzo reached 17 points while Boca with 23 now have few possibilities to win the tournament.
On the other hand, due to bad weather the game between Tigre (17) and Lanus (27) in the northern region of Greater Buenos Aires, was suspended. The score was 0-0 at the end of the first half.
