For the second year running, Sanskrit film "Ishti", directed by G. Prabha, is set to be the opening feature film of the feature section of the upcoming Indian Panorama 2016, a statement said on Friday.
The section will also feature four films each in Bengali, Marathi and Hindi, three films in Kannada and Malayalam and one film each in Konkani, Manipuri, Assamese, Tamil and Telugu at the 47th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, the statement issued by the organisers said.
The festival will start from November 20-28.
In the 46th edition of IFFI, 'Priyamanasam', also a Sanskrit film, had been selected as the inaugural film for the Indian Panorama section last year.
The feature film section jury, headed by Director and Producer, Rajendra Singh Babu, has selected 22 films out of 230 eligible entries.
The jury had a panel of 13 Members like actress Rama Vij, director Arup Manna, producer-director C.V. Reddy, director Girish Mohite, writer K. Puttaswamy and writer-filmmaker Uday Shankar Pani.

Three mainstream films have also been selected under Indian Panorama Section of the film festival.
The non-feature film section jury chaired by documentary filmmaker Arvind Sinha has picked 21 films out of 198 eligible entries.
Some of the selected feature films include "Roopanthram", "Natsamrat - Asa Nat Hone Nahi", "Irudhi Sutru", "Pinky Beauty Parlour", "Chitrokar", "K Sera Sera", "Baahubali", "Bajirao Mastani" and "Airlift".
The 21 non-feature films which have been selected include films like "Taandav", "Cecilia", "Memories of a forgotten war" and "Chaukat".
