The Supreme Court's Thursday order rejecting the bail petition of Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has disappointed his YSR Congress party cadre, party leaders said.
The leaders said they were expecting bail for Jagan, as Jaganmohan Reddy is popularly know, who would be completing one year in jail May 27.
Honorary president of the party and Jagan's mother Y.S. Vijayamma said the party respected the Supreme Court's judgment but said the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had implicated her son.
Talking to reporters, she said the probe agency was making baseless allegations against her son.
She said the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had joined hands to hatch a conspiracy against Jagan.
Vijayamma alleged the CBI had become a tool in the hands of the Congress.
