TFC Schalke 04 completed the transfer of defender Pablo Insua from Spanish outfit Deportivo La Coruna, both clubs announced.
Schalke reinforced their defence with the signing of centre-back Pablo Insua on Thursday, who penned a four-year deal to stay with the "Knappen" until June 2021, reports Xinhua news agency.
"Pablo Insua is a tactically well-trained player. He can move the ball quickly and has a good anticipation. In addition, he is a clean tackler," Schalke's head coach Domenico Tedesco said.
The new arrival is a home-grown talent from Deportivo La Coruna's youth. Insua made his first-team debut against Athletic Bilbao on November 2012. In summer 2015, Insua was loaned to second division side CD Leganes where he played until lately.
"This is a big step in my career. Schalke is a great club and well known in Europe. I am looking forward to the upcoming tasks," Insua said.
The 23-year-old centre-back, who made overall 130 appearances and provided five goals across Spain's top two divisions, received jersey number 3.
