Scottish business delegation to visit India next week

Scottish Development International (SDI), the international arm of Scottish Enterprise, is bringing a trade delegation of 12 companies and four business heads to India, the SDI said here Wednesday

The delegation is on a five-day visit beginning October 6 to explore business alliances and tie-ups. It will meet over 100 Indian companies across Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi, Rooma Kumar Bussi, country Manager, SDI said in a release.

The Scottish trade delegation is made up of of 12 companies drawn from the renewable energy, IT, healthcare, education and food and drink sectors, the release said

"India is seeing dynamic changes, particularly with the new Government coming to power. Recent policies and launch of campaigns such as 'Make in India' have once again put the country on the world map as a favourable business destination," Bussi said.

On business ties between India and Scotland, Bussi said that the recent decision on the referendum has ended the uncertainty and Scotland was set on a clear path of development.

"These are very promising times for both the countries and we look forward to building long-term successful partnerships," she said.
