The second season of "Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu" (MEK), the Telugu version of popular game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" hosted by Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, will start Dec 8 on Maa TV.
"It will be telecast at 9.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday," said a statement from the channel.
The first season of the game show proved a big hit with an over four crore Telugu television audience watching the show.
"The unprecedented emotional connect brought by Nagarjuna, and his empathy and towering presence as the host made Maa TV to bring back the game show within four months of the last series," the statement further reads.
Maa TV has conducted a rigorous process of selection to shortlist the participants eligible to come to the hot seat out of the 34.50 lakh responses. Each hot seat contestant can win prize money of up to Rs. 1 crore.
The systematic randomization process was conducted by Sundram BPO under the overall process supervision of the international audit firm Ernst & Young (EY).
