Security was tightened at the Hindon Air Force station here on Saturday after the attack at the Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Punjab's Pathankot town, a top official said.
"We have tightened security at the strategically located air force base near the national capital after we received an alert from the home ministry," said District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma.
Senior police officers visited the air force station and initiated a combing operation near the boundary wall.
Residential areas near the base were also checked and a meeting was held with IAF officers to review the security.
