A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was Monday trading flat at 6.72 points or 0.02 percent up as consumer durables stocks gained.
Good buying was observed in consumer durables and auto sectors while selling pressure was seen in metal and healthcare sectors.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 27,008.12 points, was trading at 27,097.14 points (at 01.31 p.m.) in the afternoon session, up 6.72 points or 0.02 percent from the previous day's close at 27,090.42 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 27,103.66 points and a low of 26,918.93 points in the trade so far.
The S&P consumer durables index gained 253.76 points and auto index inched up by 195.38 points; while metal index dropped by 175.02 points and healthcare index slipped by 130.93 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading in red -- down 6.25 points or 0.08 percent at 8,115.20 points.
