Seven people were killed and a child was seriously injured when a speeding SUV fell into a river in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh, police said Monday.
The accident took place late Sunday at Mallehpur when the speeding vehicle coming from Nepal and going towards Bahraich lost control, hit the railing of the river bridge and fell into the water.
Police said the dead included two women. A child was rescued and was currently undergoing treatment at a medical facility.
