Sevilla president Jose Castro said on Tuesday that he is looking forward to his football team snatching a win against Italian giants Juventus in its home city of Turin on Wednesday, in the first round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Castro believes Juventus to be the most important team of the group, which also includes French Lyon and Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb, reports Efe.

He said that the team is travelling to Turin hoping to secure a good result and recalled that the Andalusian side could not defeat the Italians last season, and will give them a hard time on Wednesday.

Castro emphasised that a potential draw against Juve is a positive result but Sevilla will remain focused to emerge victorious against a rival that paid 90 million euros ($101 million) to sign a player, in reference to the deal to include Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain from Napoli.

He also pointed out that in the 2016-17 season, the Sevilla group is not a tough set like last season and the main objective in the meantime is to qualify to the round of 16.

Castro praised coach Jorge Sampaolim, who he considers to be among the elite in South America, and aspires to be one of the best in Europe.
