The Indian community in Seychelles and the Indian High Commission have decided to organise the upcoming Seychelles-India Day celebrations as part of the "India Fest" 2015, the authorities said.
The 2015 edition of the Seychelles-India celebrations, to be held from October 2-4, will fall within the month-long "India Fest".
Indian High Commissioner to Seychelles Sanjay Panda and Seychelles Minister of Tourism and Culture Alain St. Ange met recently with the members of Seychelles-India Day Committee.
They mapped out possible activities for the annual cultural celebration, the Seychelles ministry of tourism and culture said in a statement.
During the meeting, Panda said he would be working with the diaspora to ensure that the "India Fest", that will showcase the rich Indian culture, receive his full support.
St. Ange commended the Seychellois Indian community for their support and for their tireless work as a group to make this event what is expected of it.
