A shepherd was killed Saturday when a grenade lying in the bushes exploded in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The explosion took place in Darhal in Rajouri.
The shepherd, who had gone to graze his livestock, accidentally fiddled with the grenade that went off, a police officer said.
Police were investigating whether the grenade was left behind by separatist guerrillas.
