Shuttler Kidambi Srikanth remained the India's lone challenge at the $120,000 Indonesian Masters Grand Prix Gold as P.V. Sindhu lost her women's singles quarterfinal in straight games at the Gedung Graha Cakrawala here on Friday.
Men's singles top seed Srikanth earned an easy win in the quarters, beating Malaysian 15th seed Teck Zhi Soo 21-10, 21-5 in 24 minutes in their first career meet.
The World No.9 will take on Indonesia's Ginting Anthony in the semifinals with the latter having a 1-0 advantage in career matches over the Indian.
Later, China's He Bingjiao upset India's top seed Sindhu 23-21, 21-13 in 36 minutes in the first contest between the two girls.
