The Singapore Airshow 2018, Asia's largest and one of the most important aerospace and defence exhibitions in the world, will be held here from February 6 to February 11.
This year's show will attract more than 1,000 firms from 50 countries and regions, including 65 of the top 100 global aerospace companies such as Airbus, Boeing and UTC Aerospace Systems, Xinhua news agency reported.
The biennial airshow will have some new exhibitors this year, including the Collective Wisdom Technology, the Star UAV and the Chengdu Holy Aviation from China, said Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of airshow organising company Experia Events.
He said Chinese manufacturers of commercial and military jets as well as Russian manufacturers of fighter jets, commercial aircraft and helicopters will participate in the show.
The number of trade visitors this year is expected to reach about 50,000, from about 150 countries and regions, including the major aviation markets like the US, Germany, France, the UK and Israel.
During the two public days from February 10 to 11, the number of public day visitors is expected to exceed 80,000.
