At least six firemen were injured and many people were feared trapped when a major blaze engulfed a 27-storeyed residential tower in south Mumbai late Friday evening, officials said.
At least 14 fire tenders from different parts of south Mumbai were rushed to assist the fire-fighting operations as the flames leapt out from the 13th floor and above, an official of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) Disaster Cell said.
Details of the number of residents trapped inside the building in the posh Kemps Corner area of south Mumbai were not immediately available.
