Six people, including the attacker, were killed and five others injured when a suicide car bomb rocked Lashkar Gah, the capital of Afghanistan' s Helmand province on Thursday, police said.
"A terrorist riding an explosives-laden car blew it up at the entrance point of Lashkar Gah city at around 5 p.m.today, leaving six people dead, including the attacker and injuring five others," provincial police chief Nabi Jan Mullah Khil told reporters here.
Three civilians and two police had been killed and three police and two civilians injured in the blast, he added.
Going into details, he said that the terrorist was attempting to take his explosives-laden car inside Lashkar Gah city but blew up his car after police ordered him to stop for security check, Xinhua news agency reported.
He also blamed the enemies of peace, a term used by Afghan officials against Taliban militants, for the bombing.
