Six Taliban militants were killed and eight others injured in clashes in Afghanistan's Kunduz province, an army official said on Thursday.
"The army launched a raid on Wednesday night in Imam Sahib that began the clashes," the official told Xinhua news agency.
"Clean-up and cordon operations are continuing," the official said.
Over 2,000 families fled their homes.
