President Pranab Mukherjee Friday said "sky is the limit for cooperation" between India and Bangladesh and both the countries need to give a "big push" to the efforts.
"The sky is the limit for cooperation with India and both sides together need to jointly give a big push. The large delegation accompanying him shows the commitment of the Bangladesh government to improving relations," the president said when Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali called on him at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The minister was accompanied by eight secretaries of the Bangladesh government who are in Delhi to attend the third meeting of the India-Bangladesh Joint Consultative Commission.
"There is need for speedy implementation of decisions. Bilateral relations between India and Bangladesh have grown and expanded in recent years. The two countries have made concrete progress in almost all areas. There is now need to work on increasing connectivity," the president told the delegates.
Ali said Bangladesh was moving forward on all fronts and the Sheikh Hasina government stood poised to lead the country into the modern age.
