Abu Dhabi, Oct 17 (IANS/WAM) Sky News Arabia has announced that it had lost contact with its crew covering developments in Aleppo, northern Syria.

Reporter Ishak Moctar, a Mauritanian national, cameraman Samir Kassab, a Lebanese citizen and a Syrian driver whose name is being withheld upon his family's request, went missing while on assignment near Aleppo Tuesday morning.

Sky News Arabia has called upon all parties concerned to cooperate by providing any information on their whereabouts and supporting any effort ensuring their safe return.

"Our missing colleagues are outstanding, committed journalists who are dedicated to covering the news, objectively, professionally and without bias, " said Nart Bouran, head of Sky News Arabia.

"Their assignment in Syria is largely focused on covering the humanitarian aspects of the situation and in doing so they always exhibit the highest standards of impartial journalism. We will continue to make every effort to contact them and to ensure their safe return so that they can continue their vital work." he added.
