Delhi Metro commuters faced a harrowing time again Wednesday when a technical snag affected services on a line, causing trains to run slow and halt for several minutes at many stations resulting in overcrowding.
Operations on the Blue Line from Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida City Centre/Vaishali were affected around 10 a.m. when a fault was noticed in a Noida-bound train.
"A Noida-bound train coming from Dwarka Sector 21 station was stopped at Dwarka Sector 14 station when a fault was noticed in that particular train," a Delhi Metro official told IANS.
He added that the train was taken off service and was sent to a nearby depot for checking.
All passengers on-board the train were asked to alight.
"All other lines remained unaffected. The fault will only be known once the checking is done," the official added.
