Tickets for the Sochi Winter Paralympic Games went on sale amid concerns that the games would fail to draw enough spectators.
The prices range between 350 and 1,500 rubles ($10 to $30). The exceptions are the tickets for opening and closing ceremonies, where the tickets are being sold for 700 to 5,000 rubles and 400 to 2,000 rubles respectively, reports Xinhua.
Like the tickets of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games, visitors can purchase tickets for the Paralympics through the steering committee's official online sales point.
Head of the Russian Paralympic Committee Mikhail Terentyev expressed his fear Friday that the games will attract few spectators and called on everyone to visit the Games.
"At the moment there are big dangers regarding the filling of the stands," he said.
"This (higher attendance) will help not only Russia but entire Paralympic movement to attract sponsors, partners," he said.
