South Korean President Park Geun-hye will visit China in September to participate in China's 70th war anniversary celebrations, the presidential office said on Thursday.
Ju Chul-ki, senior presidential secretary for foreign affairs, said during a press briefing that Park will visit China for three days from September 2 to attend the celebratory event set to be held in Beijing on September 3, Xinhua reported.
The event will mark the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese aggression.
Park will attend the celebratory event in the morning on September 3, but it was yet to be decided on whether Park will take part in the September 3 military parade, Ju said.
China has scheduled a series of events for the war victory anniversary, culminating in a military parade on September 3 in Beijing.
