Spanish football league's (LFP) president Javier Tebas has spoken of his conviction that the Levante vs Real Zaragoza match in the final round of the 2010-11 La Liga season was rigged.

While testifying before the Palace of Justice in Valencia in a lawsuit following a complaint filed by LFP to the anti-corruption prosecutor, Tebas on Monday said there were attempts to rig the game, and stressed that eventually the match was fixed, reports Efe.

Tebas said he knew "very well the real truth and now the legal truth to prove it", adding that he has information regarding amounts of money withdrawn from the Zaragoza players for the benefit of the players in Levante.

The LFP president said either the amounts were withdrawn by the Zaragoza players to buy the game, after they reached an agreement with the then club's president and owner, Agapito Iglesias, or he claimed the amounts for himself, which in both cases qualifies as a crime.
