Budget airline SpiceJet on Wednesday said it has enhanced its flight services to the Northeast region. In the last two days, the company has launched 12 new flights to the region.
"There is tremendous growth taking place in the economies of small towns of the tier-II and tier-III cities," Ajay Singh, SpiceJet Chairman and Managing Director, was quoted as saying in a statement.
"The next wave of growth for the Indian aviation industry is going to come from them as these small town airports will enable the industry to explore the growth potential of these untapped markets."
