Portuguese football club Sporting Lisbon on Friday announced the signing of midfielder Ezequiel Schelotto in a free transfer as he has been without a club since the summer.
Schelotto, 26, was already negotiating a deal with the Portuguese club in August, but then both sides did not reach an agreement for economic reasons, reports Efe.
The contract signed by the player now is for three coming seasons in addition to the current one, according to Sporting Lisbon through their own social networks, and will be protected by a clause of 45 million euros ($48 million).
The property of Inter Milan between 2012 and 2015, Schelotto played just 13 games with the Nerazzurri as in this period he was loaned to Sassuolo, Parma and Chievo.
Before that, Schelotto, born in Argentina but with Italian nationality, played in Banfield, Cesena and Atalanta.
