Sri Lankan police on Wednesday temporarily suspended the sittings in a court here after a fully loaded pistol and revolver were found inside the court premises.
The weapons were found during a routine search operation conducted after a fatal shooting incident near the Kalutara Court Complex recently, Xinhua news agency reported.
According to police, the weapons may have been bought into the court to carry out an attack.
Security has been tightened in the area and all those inside the courts were being searched.
Seven people, including a criminal underworld leader, were killed when an unidentified group opened fire on a prison bus near the court on Monday.
