Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena is arriving here on Sunday for a two-day India visit during which he will also attend an international conference on tobacco control.
After his arrival on Sunday evening, Sirisena will have a meeting with President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan, an official statement said.
On Monday, he will attend the seventh session of the global tobacco-control conference at the Indian Exposition Mart in Greater Noida, on the outskirts of the national capital. The Sri Lankan President is expected to return on Monday evening.
India is hosting the biennial conference of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC). It is the only international treaty to deter tobacco consumption.
Delegates from 180 countries are expected to attend the conference. Pakistan has decided to skip the conference in the wake of the deteriorating ties with India.
