Strengthening infrastructure, completing ongoing projects in the scheduled time and making the city better than others in the national capital region (NCR) are the top priorities of newly-appointed Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) vice chairman Vijay Kumar Yadav.
"This city has tremendous potential of being the world class smart city. It lies very close to the national capital. NH-24, NH-58 and old Grand Trunk (GT) Road pass through this city..." the 2006 batch IAS officer told IANS.
For strengthening the infrastructure, priority will be accorded to the 9.4 km long Metro rail corridor to new bus stand, 11.2 km long elevated road from UP Gate to Raj Nagar Extension and connecting Vaishali metro link with Mohan Nagar.
"I have an advantage of knowing the area with my rich work experience as a magistrate and the municipal commissioner of this city during my earlier postings as a PCS officer," he said.
