Ace filmmaker Subhash Ghai has given negatives of his 24 films to National Film Archives of India (NFAI).

Ghai says he feels "blessed" on entrusting the negatives to NFAI, whose mission is to safeguard the heritage of Indian cinema for posterity and act as a centre for dissemination of a healthy film culture in the country.

"Felt blessed entrusting negatives of my 24 movies to National Film Archive of India to preserve for 100 years to come," Ghai tweeted on Monday morning.

The filmmaker also shared a photograph, in which he can be seen sitting in an office and is signing legal documents.

Ghai, who has given cinematic gems like "Karz", "Ram Lakhan", "Khalnayak" and "Pardes", however, did not share the names of the films that he is getting preserved.

In recent times, the filmmaker has failed to recreate his cinematic magic with his last few films "Yuvvraaj" and "Kaanchi: The Unbreakable".
