Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will begin a four-day official visit to Russia in response to invitation by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, a media report said.
Sudan's Foreign Ministry said in a statement that al-Bashir would during the visit hold talks with Putin and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on enhancing bilateral ties in political, economic, cultural and military fields, Xinhua news agency reported.
They would also discuss cooperation in commercial and communication domains and mutual exchange in the various fields.
The ministry described al-Bashir's visit to Moscow as a qualitative shift in the procession of relations between the two sides.
A number of contracts, agreements and MoUs namely in fields of mining, oil exploration and peaceful utilization of energy as well as the diplomatic, cultural and military domains are expected to be signed on the sidelines of the visit.
