It was a sunny day in Delhi Sunday with the maximum temperature at 20.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, after a chilly morning when people gathered to watch the Republic Day parade. Similar weather is likely Monday.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.9 degrees Celsius, also a notch below the season's average.
The fly past by the Indian Air Force was not affected by the light fog in the Rajpath area of the capital, where President Pranab Mukherjee took the salute at the ceremonial parade, where visiting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was the chief guest.
The met office has forecast a clear day Monday. However, it has added that there is possibility of dense fog in the morning.
"The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to hover around 21 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively, Monday," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
