Sunny Saturday in Delhi, fog again likely Sunday

It was sunny Saturday in the national capital after a foggy start, which affected train movement, while the maximum temperature settled four notches below the season's average at 18.3 degrees Celsius. The Met Office has forecast dense fog Sunday morning.

"There will be dense fog early morning (tomorrow) but the day would be clear. The fog will return in the evening," an India Meteorological Department official said.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 19 and 7 degrees Celsius.

Saturday morning was cold and windy and the minimum temperature settled at 7.2 degrees - average for this time of the season.

The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 92 percent.

Meanwhile, fog continued to affect the movement of trains. The visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 500 metres.

According to the Northern Railway, 38 trains coming to the city were running late, while 21 trains departing from Delhi were rescheduled while one had to be cancelled.

Friday's maximum temperature was recorded four notches below the season's average at 16.3 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 6.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
