Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Friday met Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena here and discussed issues of bilateral interest.
"Meeting with the leadership... discusses bilateral issues of mutual collaboration," Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveeh Kumar tweeted.
Earlier, Sushma Swaraj met new Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana. The Leader of the Opposition, R. Sampanthan, called on the Indian leader.
Sushma Swaraj arrived here on Thursday on a two-day visit to Sri Lanka to attend the Second Indian Ocean Conference.
As a gesture to mark Sushma Swaraj's visit, Sri Lanka freed 76 Indian fishermen caught poaching in the island nation's waters.
