Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Group Friday said it posted a standalone net profit of Rs.116.47 crore for the second quarter of 2015-16, as against a net loss of Rs.528.38 crore in the same period last year.
According to the unaudited standalone financial results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Suzlon said total income from operations rose to Rs.1,160.32 crore from Rs.754.01 crore, and total expenses from Rs.861.29 crore to Rs.1,033.24 crore in the quarter under review.
However, on a consolidated basis, Suzlon Group posted a net loss of Rs.181.10 crore in the quarter, as against a net loss of Rs.656.21 crore.
Total income from operations declined to Rs.1,771.67 crore in the analysed quarter from Rs.5,378.89 crore on a consolidated basis, while total expenses went down from Rs.5,442.93 crore to Rs.1,752.67 crore.
Suzlon Group, with a cumulative installed wind energy capacity of 14 GW, operates in 19 countries and employs 7,000 people.
