Portugal national football team coach Fernando Santos on Monday warned of the threat posed by Sweden during Tuesday's friendly, despite the absence of key player Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who retired from international duty at the end of Euro 2016.

During a press conference held before travelling to the Portuguese city of Madeira where the friendly football match will be held, Santos said that teams do not depend on a particular player but collective play, reports Efe.

The Portuguese also noted that the Swedes are well organised and have excellent tactical capabilities.

Portugal is scheduled to host Sweden on Tuesday in a friendly game, for which Santos has yet to announce the starting line-up.

Cristiano Ronaldo will represent Portugal for the first time in his hometown Madeira.
