Sweden international Isaac Kiese Thelin has signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with French football club Bordeaux after successfully completing his medical.
The 22-year-old striker, having left Swedish champions Malmo, Thursday moved to the former French league and cup winners on a contract, which keeps him till June, 2019, with a reported fee of 3.5 million euros, reports Xinhua.
"An international star in the making and league winner in 2014, Isaac Kiese Thelin is one of Swedish football's brightest young hopes," read a statement on the Ligue 1 side's website.
"Quick, technical and physically imposing (189cm, 83 kg), he is known for his ruthless efficiency in front of goal," it continued. "The Girondins are delighted with the arrival of this young international forward."
Thelin made his Champions League debut this season and scored five goals in 14 league games as Malmo retained the top-flight domestic title.
The former member of Sweden's youth side earned his first cap with Sweden in November last year in a friendly against France in Marseille.
