"Brick Lane" fame actress Tannishtha Chatterjee plans to hit the red carpet at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival in a gown with ethnic Indian touch.
She is going to the prestigious film fest, starting May 15, with her film "Monsoon Shootout".
"At Cannes, people focus on what you wear (more) than anything else. I am very excited and I love dressing up and one of my Australian designer friends will be designing my outfit. It's a western gown, which will have an ethnic Indian work on it," Tannishtha told IANS.
The actress, who will represent her first Indian film at Cannes, says "It's a wonderful way of celebrating hundred years of Indian cinema."
"My film 'Monsoon Shootout' has got official entry at Cannes and I am very excited about it," she added.
Directed by Amit Kumar and produced by Anurag Kashyap, "Monsoon Shootout" features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tannishtha in the lead roles.
