Passenger and commercial vehicles maker Tata Motors Ltd on Monday said it sold 39,763 units last month logging a volume growth of 9.9 percent over sales in April 2015.
In a statement, the company said it sold 39,763 units last month up from 36,190 units sold in April 2015.
The company's domestic sales of commercial and passenger vehicles for April 2016 were 35,978 units, a growth of 11 percent over 32,404 vehicles sold in April 2015.
The company's sales from exports were flat at 3,785 units, in April 2016, compared to April 2015, Tata Motors said.
On the other hand, car maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt Ltd said its April 2016 sales went down to 9,507 units as against 13,659 units sold in April 2015.
The company hopes that the apex court will lift the ban on registration of diesel vehicles above 2,000 cc in the national capital region (NCR) which is impacting the sales volume.
