Hailing AAP's landslide victory in Delhi, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao Tuesday said the results showed that people expect a corruption-free and transparent governance everywhere.
The chief minister said the verdict was a proof that people were thinking differently from conventional politics.
The president of he Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) said the people of Delhi took a right decision by giving a huge mandate to the Aam Aadmi Party.
KCR, as the chief minister is known, sent a letter to AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, congratulating him on the massive victory.
"It is a clear indication that voter by and large and particularly the urban voter wants a change and they rightly voted to you and your party," he wrote.
The TRS chief recalled that AAP had supported the democratic aspiration of the people of Telangana for a separate state.
He hoped that Delhi will make an all-round progress under Kejriwal's leadership. "I am sure under your stewardship, the Delhi will progress in all fronts," the letter added.
