Suspected terrorists from Pakistan on Monday fired indiscriminately in Punjab's Dinanagar town in the frontier district of Gurdaspur, leaving at least five people injured, including police officials.
Dinanagar town is close to the Jammu and Kashmir border.
The terrorists fired at people near the Dinanagar bus stand and then attacked the Dinanagar police station.
Eyewitnesses said that the terrorists, numbering 4-5, were in army uniforms and were carrying automatic weapons.

Police reinforcements were rushed to the spot and a counter-offensive by security forces was initiated.
