A Thai Airways plane skidded off the runway at Bangkok's main international airport, injuring 13 passengers.
The Thai Airways International (THAI) flight TG 679 left Guangzhou, China, at 9.25 p.m. local time Sunday with 288 passengers and 14 crew members aboard. It arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport at 11.20 p.m. Thailand time, Xinhua reported.
The nose gear of the Airbus 330-300 collapsed when it touched the runway during the course of landing. Some passengers said there was fire at the right side of the aircraft.
Thirteen passengers received "minor injuries while evacuating the aircraft", said the airlines.
The incident is under investigation by Thai civil aviation officials.
The runway was blocked for all aircraft Monday morning. Some delays were expected for both inbound and outbound flights at the airport.
