Thai caretaker Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul Thursday appealed to foreign governments and international organisations to condemn anti-government protestors in the country.
Surapong made the call at a briefing of diplomats from 51 countries and officials of four international organisations at the foreign ministry office, saying the protestors violated the rule of law, reported the Bangkok Post.
He said his request was in line with the UN Charter and their condemnation of the protestors would not be considered interference in Thailand's domestic politics.
The minister called on the UN to take the lead in condemning protestors.
Surapong said the government would proceed with the elections prevented Feb 2 by the protestors to complete the election process.
