Thailand defeated Australia 3-1 on the first day of the 10th international women's volleyball tournament (VTV Eximbank Cup 2013) in Vietnam's northern Ninh Binh province.
Australia failed to take advantage of their height and lost to Thailand 20-25 and 21-25 in the first and second set Saturday, reports Xinhua.
Entering the third set, Australia rallied back strongly, beating Thailand 25-20. However, Thailand found their form back and finished the fourth set 25-18.
