In its effort to make peace with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the International Cricket Council (ICC) has made BCCI President Anurag Thakur a part of the powerful Finance and Commercial Affairs committee (F&CA) after completion of its board meeting here on Saturday.
The F&CA wing is one of the most powerful decision-making sub-committees of the ICC as all the revenue related aspects go through it.
The development came after BCCI -- the world's richest cricket body -- had raised objections about not having it's representative in the F&CA committee despite India's Shashank Manohar being chairman of the global body.
However, according to sources, there is a rule which automatically makes Thakur part of the F&CA committee, once he was named chairman of the ICC's Development Committee.
