"India Unlimited", a platform initiated by the Indian Embassy in Sweden, will have its third edition in Stockholm from April 21 to August 23, with the launch of an Indian film festival 'Cinema Indien' followed by an India-Sweden business conference.
Jointly organised by the Embassy of India in Stockholm and SF BIO, Sweden's leading cinema chain in collaboration with the Indian National Film Development Corporation (INFDC), the festival will showcase recent films directed by filmmakers like Aparna Sen, Ketan Mehta, Ruchika Oberoi, Tanishta Chaterjee and others.
"'India Unlimited' seeks to strengthen India-Sweden connections and partnerships in all areas that benefit both countries, with a special emphasis on economic relations and people-to-people ties through business seminars, exhibitions, food and cultural festivals. It is about promoting India in Sweden as well as promoting Sweden in India," said Banashri Bose Harrison, Indian Ambassador to Sweden, in a statement.
A series of events will be organised to enhance economic and social ties between India and Sweden.
From May 2-4, the Indian Embassy is organising the third annual India-Sweden business conference with the theme "Making and Innovating in a New India".
"It is gratifying to see the high level of cooperation between India and Sweden and the increased promotional efforts by both the Embassies. What 'Sweden India Nobel Memorial Week' does to create awareness of Sweden in India, 'India Unlimited' does for India promotion in Sweden," added Harald Sandberg, Ambassador of Sweden to India.
