Three more accomplices of Amit Aggarwal, an impersonator who allegedly cheated influential people while posing as a senior CBI official, have been arrested, police said Sunday.
"During its ongoing investigation, the crime branch team has arrested three more associates of Amit Aggarwal alias Goldy, who posed himself as the joint director of CBI and has cheated several people to settle his issues," said Additional Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav.
Punit Kataria, 25, Mahender Singh, 32, and Dilip Kumar, 25, were arrested Saturday from different areas here on basis of the information given by Aggarwal, who was arrested Oct 15 from Delhi's Pitampura.
"Some fake SIM cards, mobile phone and other incriminating documents have also been recovered from their possession," said Yadav.
Aggarwal's arrest has led police to solve two cases of cheating.
In one case, he had posing as the Central Bureau of Investigation official, had insisted additional director general, foreign trade to renew the export licence of a private company here.

In an another case Aggarwal instructed the owner and general manager of OMAXE developer group either to pay Rs.60 lakh each for the two plots to one party of Rohtak against the earlier deposited amount of Rs.9 lakh each paid in 2005 or to settle the matter with them.
"Aggarwal has a good command over English language and he got an idea of extorting money from high profile persons by watching the Bollywood movie 'Special 26', which was based on fake CBI officers," said the officer.
"He was aware that the people easily get influenced and terrorised by the English speakers and CBI officials. By using the name of CBI, he earned hefty amounts and settled disputed issues," he added.
