Three people, including a woman, were arrested for trying to cheat a bank by applying for a home loan here, police said Saturday.
Mohan Kumar, 42, Anita, 41, and Indrajeet Singh, 34 were arrested Friday after Shailash Ranjan, manager of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur in Mayapuri, lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Police said Kumar and Anita, who are live-in partners applied for a home lone of Rs.40 lakh through Singh, who is a broker and an expert in procuring loans using forged documents from banks.
Police recovered 12 mobile phones bought on forged documents along with passbooks and cheque books of several banks and other false documents.
